QNT is the utility token within the Quant ecosystem. It is used to access services and applications (MApps) that leverage Quant's Overledger technology. QNT is required for interacting with these decentralized applications, helping facilitate connections between different blockchains.

Quant’s QNT tokens are secured by Ethereum’s proof-of-work (PoW) consensus model, which ensures the network’s security and validation. However, Quant itself operates as a layer that connects different blockchains, using Overledger to allow interoperability without needing a separate consensus mechanism.

Quant was founded in 2015 by Gilbert Verdian, who is also the CEO of the company.

Quant’s maximum token supply is capped at 14,612,493 QNT.
