The ONDO token is mainly used for governance in the Ondo ecosystem, letting holders vote on decisions for the Ondo DAO and Flux Finance protocol. It's also key in running and developing tokenized financial products. Plus, ONDO helps push forward decentralized finance protocols, showing Ondo’s commitment to decentralization and offering access to top-tier blockchain financial services.

Ondo uses a secure, multi-layered consensus system, especially designed for asset bridging between blockchains. The Ondo Token Bridge leverages technologies like Axelar and LayerZero, along with Ondo’s own validation layer. The process involves burning tokens on the source chain and re-minting them on the destination chain for added security. If needed, Ondo can pause the bridge functionality with an emergency multisig control. The whole system runs on strict message protocols and validation checks to make cross-chain transfers smooth and safe.

Nathan Allman, who used to work at Goldman Sachs, is the founder of Ondo. With his background in traditional finance, he brought a fresh approach to blockchain. Ondo was launched in August 2021, kicking off with Ondo Vaults, a structured finance protocol on Ethereum.

The maximum supply of ONDO tokens is 10 billion, and the circulating supply is around 1.37 billion ONDO.

Ondo Finance stands out by combining decentralized finance (DeFi) with traditional finance (TradFi). It focuses on tokenizing real-world assets, like U.S. Treasuries, filling a unique gap in crypto.
