Flare Price (FLR)

FLR is the native token of Flare, used to fuel its bridge operations and ensure smooth interaction between XRP and other cryptocurrencies. The price of FLR depends on factors like supply, demand, and transaction volume.

Flare uses the Avalanche consensus protocol, which is adapted to work with the Federated Byzantine Agreement (FBA) mechanism. This combination helps ensure efficient and secure validation within its decentralized ecosystem, similar to what’s used by networks like XRPL and Stellar.

The co-founder of Spark Lab is Hugo Philion. He’s a veteran in the crypto trading and investing world, having previously managed two billion-dollar hedge funds as a commodity derivatives portfolio manager before launching Spark Lab.

The total maximum supply of FLR will be 100 billion tokens once it’s fully available for trade and use as a digital payment method.

Flare stands out because it enables cross-chain interoperability while keeping Spark’s network secure, no matter the consensus mechanism. It also uses a testnet and its own coin, Songbird, to test new features before they go live on the mainnet. Plus, XRP is integrated into Flare through FXRP, making it even more versatile.
